A wand is a ceremonial tool used in many Pagan and Wiccan traditions to channel and direct energy during rituals and spell work. Wands are typically long, slender rods, often made of wood, but can also be made from other materials such as metal or stone. They may be decorated with symbols, carvings, or set with crystals and gemstones to enhance their magical properties.

The energy of a wand is considered to be more gentle and inviting compared to an athame, which is another ritual tool used in similar traditions. Where an athame is often used to command or cut away energy, a wand is used to invite or attract energy. It's often used to cast circles of protection during ritual work, to direct energy towards a specific purpose, or to connect with divine forces.
